Based on the success of the highly acclaimed short film SUBIRA, which won nine International awards the director, Ravneet “Sippy” Chadha is now developing it into a feature film.
The Subira Feature Film project is currently in the script development phase.
Ravneet Chadha is writer, director and co-producer for the feature film.
Charles Liburd was born in Guyana and educated in England. He has also lived in several countries including Uganda, Kenya, Barbados, America, Italy and now Amsterdam.
Charles, graduated from the Binger Film Lab, Amsterdam. He was later mentored by Arnold Heslenfeld , of PolyGram Films.
Charles Liburd is a voting member of the European Film Academy.
He conducted the ‘Kids N’ Color program’ by the Binger Film Lab and the STIFO . This program was to encourage people with an ethnic background into writing for film and TV. Of the thirteen short story scripts that were written eleven received funding for production, making this program the most successful of all previous ones.
Charles together with Leon Coetzer, the South African and Netherlands based director, has also initiated a new type of Production Company in Kenya that concentrates on African content for the local African market as well as for the African Diaspora which is called Earthbox (EA).
